🌟 Spotlight Sessions at Chapel Street Players

An 8-Month Journey Into Every Corner of the Theater
Chapel Street Players is excited to launch an eight-month educational series designed to shine a light on the many skills, talents, and creative disciplines that make theater magic happen. From the stage to the tech booth, from the rehearsal room to the design “shop”, Spotlight Sessions are for our community where we can explore, learn, and discover something new.

🎭 What’s Coming Up?

Throughout the next several months, we’ll offer hands-on workshops and engaging classes led by experienced professional artists, directors, designers, and performers. Each session will focus on a different area of the theater, giving participants  of all experience levels the chance to grow, create, and have fun. Areas We’ll Spotlight Include:

• ● Acting & Character Building
• ● Auditioning with Confidence
• ● Directing Basics & Beyond
• ● Behind-the-Scenes Magic, including:
  • ○ Set design
  • ○ Lighting design
  • ○ Sound design
  • ○ Costume design
• ● Musical Theatre Essentials
• ● Specialty Sessions based on participant interests

And more! The series is meant to be flexible, surprising, and bring out your creativity.

🎈 KidSpot Sessions

Alongside our general workshops, we will be offereing sessions specifically designed for children, giving young performers a chance to explore acting, storytelling, movement, and backstage creativity. These kid-friendly sessions will help build
excitement and confidence leading up to summer camp season.

Each Spotlight Session—including our dance kickoff—is just $10.
We never want cost to be a barrier to participation. If the fee would keep you from joining us, please don’t worry—we’re more than happy to waive it.
