Newark Independent Film Festival: Fright Nights Block 1

Festival Director, Kazy Tauginas, of the Newark Independent Film Festival presents Fright Nights!
12 Short Horror Films. You might grip the arm of your seat. You might laugh. You might look away. You might think it’s silly. It’s indie art – so just enjoy the ride!
The Sequence – After a terrifying and deeply disturbing nightmare, stay-at-home mom Taylor (Katie Parker) wakes in a panic, convinced that the horrific events she dreamed about must never come to pass.
Amused – A woman returns home to find her daughter’s scalp being eaten by a mentally unstable man.
Lizzie – A father/daughter con artist team tries to take advantage of the wrong family.
Heirlooms – Heirlooms is short film that follows Lillian, an isolated elderly woman, and her unhealthy fixation on her late husband.
Just Kiss Me – A Husband who had a one night stand is guilt ridden. His dreams turn into nightmares as a Monster stalks him, seeking a kiss.
Bloody Shame – A beautiful and naive actress stumbles into the wrong producer’s office…what happens next is a bloody shame…
The Call – Eli stands over a dead body, with no memory of the killing. When his best friend Josh does not respond to his desperate phone calls, he takes action alone, fleeing the city.
With/In – Quincy lives in constant avoidance of his emotions. But when his anguish seems to encircle him, will Quincy be able to escape its many manifestations?
To Nora – When a weary traveler named Nora wakes up in an all-but-abandoned town with a box on her doorstep, she discovers that the local townspeople aren’t who they say they are.
Slime After Slime – Three Slimeboyz battle their manager for control of their hit band.
Dracella – n a late-night eatery, Donovan, a besotted admirer, waits for Dracella, a mysterious and alluring vampire.
CUPID – A young woman is dumped by her unfaithful boyfriend on Valentine’s Day weekend. She winds up summoning Cupid to enact revenge on her ex-boyfriend and his new partner in her honor.
These films have not been rated by the MPAA and contain violence, horror, and sexual situations. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.
