Dear CSP Volunteers

Dear CSP Volunteers

Thanks to everyone for making this a great 80th Season for Chapel Street Players. As a totally volunteer organization, everyone’s generosity of time, support, and hard work is what keeps our shows going on.

It is our tradition to host an Annual Summer Party where all participants from the season are invited to a food and drink event hosted by the board. Normally, this event is held on the third weekend in July; however, this year a majority of the board are unavailable at that time.

The Board has decided that we will use this opportunity to give our annual thank you party a bit of an overhaul (always good to change things up) and postpone the event until early fall. All participants from our 80th Season will be invited!

Meanwhile, we annually also announce the recipients of our three awards during the summer party. As to not delay those people/programs receiving their recognition, here are the 80th Season honorees (they will also be acknowledged at the revamped celebration)….

Betty Bart Service in Acting Award: (recognizing outstanding contributions from or toward actors- not an Outstanding Acting Award)  goes to the NEXT Project for advancing original works and providing new opportunities for veteran as well as up and coming actors.

Technical Service Award: (recognizing an individual who has provided outstanding volunteerism behind the scene) goes to MIKE CERMINARO for his work on numerous set building and facilities issues

Hickman Icon Award: (recognizing long time volunteerism in a variety of manners for the theatre) to CINDY STARCHER for her dedication over twenty years to acting, board service, house management, costumes, make-up, hair, and always pitching in where needed.

I congratulate all of this season’s honorees whose names will join many others on our awards plaques in the lobby.

Thank you all again for your dedication to CSP and we look forward to seeing you this fall! Happy Summer!

Scott Mason, President of the Board of Directors of Chapel Street Players
