Based in Philadelphia for a great part of their career, Minas has been on the forefront of world music and Brazilian Jazz in the Northeast for the past 30 years. Led by the couple Orlando and Patricia Haddad, Minas has recorded and released 8 CDs, 7 of them in Philadelphia. Their latest, “Beatles in Bossa”, reached #1 and was among the 10 best Latin Jazz albums in 2022, on Roots Music Report. Their first, "Num Dia Azul", released on vinyl in 1983, has become a collector's item. Minas has performed in many major national venues including Lincoln Center in NY, Kennedy Center in DC, and The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
