Audition :: Spoon River Anthology

Audition Date: September 13-19

Director Bill Fellner is looking for up to 9 men and women of various ages to broadcast a livestream reading of Edgar Lee Masters’ “Spoon River Anthology”, October 23-25.  The script is an abridged version of the original; a draft can be downloaded here:

Assignment of poems to actors will be done after auditions are complete.

Auditions will be held online by appointment during the period September 14-26.  Contact Bill Fellner by email or phone.  (But you will need an email address regardless.). Auditions will be by reading a poem or two from the script.

Keep in mind that you will be auditioning your  equipment as well.  You will need a laptop or desktop computer with webcam and mike, and a strong internet connection.  The only allowed browsers are Chrome and Firefox.

Auditions, rehearsals, and performances will utilize the StreamYard live streaming service.  The small rehearsal schedule will be by agreement among the cast members.  Performance dates are Friday and Saturday, October 23, 24 , at 7:30PM, and Sunday October 25 at 2PM.  Alternatively, we may choose to record the performance in advance.
